The X Factor always attracts big name stars, and this year has been no exception, with rapper Ne Yo and former winner of the TV talent contest Leona Lewis performing on last week’s first live results show.
Tonight’s live results show was a first for American country singer Taylor Swift, who performed her current single We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.
The show was pre-recorded but it was still fantastic, with Taylor being joined by boisterous backing dancers who jumped around the stage waving glow sticks while Taylor, dressed in a tiny pair of shorts and a sparkly top, showed off her amazing voice.
Taylor really enjoyed performing on the TV talent show and told Dermot O’Leary: “I still get nervous but it helps that you have such a terrific audience.”
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together has been Taylor’s most successful single to date, reaching number one on the US Billboard chart with 623,000 downloads.
The 22-year-old singer, who is currently dating 18-year-old Conor Kennedy, writes all her own music and has been releasing songs on iTunes over the past three weeks to promote her new album Red, which is due out on October 22.
Begin Again was released on October 1 and sold 299,000 copies in its first week, debuting at number seven on the US Billboard chart.
Two further promotional singles, Red and I Knew You Were Trouble, have also been released, with a fourth song due to come out next week.
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together is available to buy or download now, with Red being released on October 22.
