X Factor: Louis Walsh worried about District3 after judges ‘savage’ them

X Factor’s Louis Walsh has admitted he’s worried about his boy band District3 being eliminated from the competition after the “savaging” they got from the judges on the fifth live show.

The boys tackled Taio Cruz’s dance hit Dynamite for their latest performance, but only Louis thought they did a good job, with the other three judges blasting the boys for a poor song choice for their particular musical style.

Nicole Scherzinger, Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow all admitted they felt the boys could have left themselves in danger of being booted off the next results show.

But Louis told Caroline Flack and Olly Murs on X Factor spin-off show Xtra Factor that he felt that they were too tough on the bands.

Asked if he was worried that they might be eliminated tonight (November 4), Louis said: “I’m worried after the savaging off of the other three judges, it was uncalled for guys. They sang, they danced, they did everything…they gave it everything.”

On Live Show 5, Tulisa told the boys: “Guys, oh guys. I love you guys, this is going to pain me to say this but Louis you’ve got it wrong this week, I’m sorry.”

She added: “You overstepped the cheese mark. It felt so awkward for me.”

Gary was also disappointed, saying: “I have to think back to when we first saw you guys, you were a good vocal harmony group…guys I don’t know who you are anymore, I’m lost.”

Nicole added: “I don’t know what else to say… no baby no. Louis you got it wrong with the song. You know what Louis, this is where you got it wrong this week.”

But District3’s mentor Louis brushed off the criticism, saying: “Listen, I thought it was fantastic. I think the people at home are going to vote for you guys.”

Only time will tell if District3 can cling on to their place in the competition! Tune in from 8pm on STV and ITV to find out who stays and who leaves in the results show.
