STV Glasgow has confirmed its presenter line-up for new daily magazine programme, The Riverside Show.

Weather presenter Storm Huntley will join Jennifer Reoch and David Farrell live from Pacific Quay each week day evening, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, for the show.

Storm, Jennifer and David will be joined by new roving reporter Colin Stone, who will present from different locations around Glasgow each week night.

STV Glasgow will begin broadcasting at 6.30pm on June 2 to two million viewers in the west of Scotland on Freeview channel 23, Sky channel 117 and Virgin channel 159.

Details of the launch schedule for the brand new channel have also been revealed.

The new channel will be on air from noon to midnight every day with an entertaining mix of news and features, live and interactive formats, as well as quality acquired and archive programming including the complete series of Take the High Road and classic episodes of Taggart.

Further programming includes an original format, My Life in Ten Pictures, which airs for the first time on June 2 with an in-depth interview with Lord Sir Willie Haughey OBE.

STV Glasgow has also committed to broadcasting one hour of non-English speaking content per week. Polish drama, Czas Honoru, will air from June 4 with subtitles.

Paul Hughes, channel editor, said: "The final countdown to the launch of STV Glasgow is now on and the excitement is building ahead of our first broadcast on June 2.

"The channel schedule includes a mix of live, daily magazine programming, alongside new, acquired shows and popular classics from the STV archive.

"The channel aims to reflect everything that’s happening in Glasgow on a daily basis and we look forward to bringing viewers all the latest news, entertainment and features from Scotland’s largest city."

Ahead of the first broadcast on June 2, viewers will be asked to retune their televisions to pick up the Freeview signal for channel 23.

The new channel will complement STV’s current portfolio of locally focused services on air, online and mobile including the recently launched City Apps, which provide all the latest news, events, offers, pictures and videos for consumers in Scotland’s biggest cities.
