DCI Banks: Wednesday’s Child part two

DCI Banks returns tonight (February 10) with the second instalment of chilling storyline Wednesday’s Child.

Last week the team kicked off the search for a child believed to have been abducted by a man and woman apparently claiming to be social workers.

This week they are forced to launch a murder investigation, after the body of a child found on the moors was identified as 11-year-old Andre Petri.

And with Kyle Heath still missing, Banks has to divide his time. But could there be a link between the two cases?

Post-mortem results prove that little Andre was killed by a massive heroin overdose.

And it soon becomes clear the two children could possibly be connected to the illegal drunks trade, with Banks and Annie setting out to uncover the criminal underworld of the Elthorpe Estate.

Helen also suspects that Kyle’s abduction might have been masterminded by his own mother, to extort cash from Paul Cain.

But will shocking news about her own son threaten to derail the case?

DCI Banks returns to STV tonight, February 10, at 9pm on STV.
