Pat Sharp

1980s children’s television presenter Pat Sharp is the latest celeb to enter the ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ jungle. Pat is best known for his time hosting the anarchic CITV programme Funhouse.

“Funhouse was a brightly coloured TV show on CITV with me and the twins Melanie and Martina and lots of gunge so it was very messy.”

However, Pat was also notorious for his long hair and mullet. “In the 80s I was well known for a having a mullet. I’m hoping people have forgotten about that.”

Pat explains that, “I’m a pretty easy going guy. I’m pretty relaxed and nothing really ruffles my feathers. I will always be joking around and having a giggle. as a radio host I am used to making things into gags so eventually people might be like oh no, not another gag.”

He does however admit to having a serious worry about the Bushtucker Trial.

“If I have to eat something that is alive I think that might be the turning point for me. I might just nibble it or eat a bit of arm or something.”

When it comes to arguments with other people the former Funhouse presenter says that he normally won’t get involved. However, there is one instance where his temper might rise. “If there is a rumble in the jungle I will make sure I am involved, especially if a young lady is being unfairly persecuted.”

“By going in to the jungle I can show people exactly who I am. People who have pre-conceptions about me might turn around and see that I’m a pretty normal guy.”

Pat also thinks that if we were to win the competition it would mean that people had forgotten his 1980s mullet.

“It would mean people would be thinking, ‘you know what, he’s alright, let’s give him another chance.’ If I won, it would be a whole new me.”
