1980's pop star Sinitta is the newest addition to the I'm A Celebrity camp. The So Macho singer had a run of successful hit songs in the 1980's but these days is more commonly known as a mentor on The X Factor Judges' Houses segment and for her relationship with Simon Cowell whom she dated in the mid 1980's as he masterminded her pop career.

"I think I'm better known as being an 1980s disco diva. The public's perception of me is of someone who walks around in high heels and a bikini all the time. There's also a new generation of kids who weren't around when I had my pop career so there will be a lot of people who think I just hang around with Simon Cowell who don't actually know what I do."

Sinitta is something of a reality TV veteran these days having previously appeared on Grease Is The Word, Celebrity Wife Swap and Dancing on Ice but the celebrity admits that she probably doesn't realise what she has left herself in for. "The jungle is going to be a complete culture shock to me. I've never been on TV without my hair and make-up done. I don’t think it's really sunk in yet."

While viewers will no doubt expect some juicy gossip about Simon Cowell, Sinitta has admitted that, "I hope I make friends with someone who is very strong and not scared of insects and who will let me sleep very close to them at night."

There are certainly a few manly types in the jungle camp who won't be shy about looking after the gorgeous singer.

And when it comes to facing her fears Sinitta says, "I'm not sure if I have genuine phobias but I'm one of those girls who are scared of everything."

And the thing that scares her the most? "The thing I'm dreading the most is the Bushtucker Trial. It looks so horrible that sometimes I can't even watch it on television. It's like being in a horror movie."
