Laurel has been growing increasingly worried about Ashley in recent weeks, but tonight things take a positive turn for the vicar when he is offered a place to stay.
Things kick off when Marlon starts rounding people up to look for Ashley, and Laurel is grateful for his support. Later, Marlon sees Ashley being mocked by a pair of homeless people and he steps in and defends the former vicar.
Ashley is so grateful that he breaks down at the state he has got himself into, and he is left surprised when Marlon tells him he can come back to the village and stay with him.
Meanwhile, Alicia tells David that she knew before the wedding that Justin wasn’t going to pursue custody of Jacob, and she leaves him stunned when she tells him that she loves him.
Freaking out, he bolts out of the door, leaving Alicia heartbroken.
Elsewhere in the village, Cameron is convinced that he made the right decision to stay with Debbie, while Lisa thanks Charity for her help with the loan sharks.
