Emmerdale spoiler: Gennie and Nikhil get engaged

Gennie and Nikhil’s relationship is hanging by a thread after last night’s shock proposal, but it looks like the pair might get their happy ever after when Gennie agrees to become Nikhil’s wife.

Things kick off when Brenda has a go at Nikhil in the factory over her daughter’s pregnancy, and Nikhil is determined to win his girlfriend back.

Heading over to her house, he assures Gennie that he can change and that he really does want to marry her, and she finally relents and agrees to get engaged, leaving him delighted.

Meanwhile, Val hires a moped for Amy’s birthday, but things go very badly wrong when she loses control of it and runs over Pollard.

As Pollard is rushed to hospital on a stretcher, Val tries to apologise to Amy for what has happened but she isn’t interested, leaving Val devastated.

Elsewhere in the village, Jai is furious with Charity for telling Nikhil about Gennie’s pregnancy, while Rishi feels Jai’s wrath for spending the night with Val.
