Alicia has been struggling to come to terms with the fact that she might be going to prison, but when David has a brainwave it seems all is not lost after all.
Things kick off when Alicia and Justin argue over the phone about Jacob. Jacob wants to stay with David in Emmerdale but Justin is having none of it, especially when he becomes convinced that Alicia has been badmouthing Talia.
Fed up of all the arguing, Alicia tells Justin to take Jacob, and David struggles to understand why she has given up so easily.
As she breaks down in David’s arms, she reveals that she would have a better chance of keeping her son if she were married, so ever the gent, David gets down on one knee and proposes with an onion ring. Just what every girl dreams of…
Convincing Alicia that his plan for them to get married will work, Alicia agrees but is secretly heartbroken that he isn’t marrying her for love.
Elsewhere in the village, Holly invites Hannah to move to London with her and Moira hits the roof. Is she about to lose both of her daughters? It looks that way…
Meanwhile, Debbie is furious with Cain when she finds out that he’s accused Cameron of having an affair.
