Holly, Hannah and Adam are disappointed when John tells them it's over with Moira. Tension still simmers between Chas and Moira, but Moira confides in her and Chas tells her to try harder with John as they are meant to be together. Moira goes to the farm feeling determined, but as she talks to John she realised they need to move on, for everyone's sake.

John is stunned when she tells him she's agreeing to the divorce. He is surprised by how crushed he feels as Moira pushes to start the proceedings immediately, insisting it's for the best as every time John looks at her he will see Cain.

Ali is gutted about the loan money and Marlon's awkward when Ali and Ruby return the money. Ali suggests they start collecting cardboard boxes ready to move.

Ali and Rachel row with Nicola over the rent. While Rachel has a go at Laurel over Marlon and Ali asks what has happened between the pair. Marlon tries to break the ice with Rachel but is alarmed when she tells him that Ali knows about him and Laurel.

Ruby overhears Nicola sniping about her and Ali, and Nicola is unaware Ruby is listening. Ruby seems strong but she lets her guard drop when they leave, looking upset and angry.

Later, Ali hides her devastation when Ruby doesn't give reassurance she will remain with her and the kids. Ali takes the kids to Rachel's.

- Amy is desperate, hoping Val hasn't gone away, but Pollard's not so sure. He's determined to be there for Amy even if Val has walked.

- Debbie drops Sarah with Zak for the day and Zak broods over Debbie's words when she talks about Valentine's day. A weary Zak resolves to do the right thing for lisa, his burden growing.
