Dancing on Ice star Jorgie Porter has revealed that she is enjoying spending time with her boyfriend James Atherton since the series finished.

The Hollyoaks actress admitted she was stunned how well she did in the competition.

Jorgie, who plays Theresa McQueen in soap, had to fit in her ice training around filming.

She told the Liverpool Echo: "It's good to be able to go for a nice meal with James.

"It's the simplest things like meeting up with people who I'd not seen for a long time and not had chance to catch up with.

"And just being in the sunshine. I was in the studio and at the rink a lot so I'd not had fresh air in my face."

However, the 24-year-old admitted that she loved her time on the show, even when she first started and felt "like Bambi on ice."

She said: "No way did I think I'd get that far. I thought I'd go out in the fourth week.

"I used to skate round really fast but I didn't know how to stop so I just used to bang into the barriers.

"I loved the skating and I really wanted to do the tour. I just wanted to try hard and prove myself and have a lot of fun.

"People have said that doing the tour is the best bit and I think `wow the show was really good so it's going to be great'."
