Dancing on Ice star Matthew Wolfenden has revealed that he doesn’t know if he’d want to compete in the show again.
The Emmerdale hunk was crowned the winner of the ice skating show last night after beating off stiff competition from Hollyoaks stunner Jorgie Porter and performer Chico Slimani, but speaking on This Morning, he admitted that he didn’t know just how difficult the show would be.
“I have enjoyed every moment, but if I got asked to do it again I don’t know if I could because it has been so hard,” he revealed.
“Much harder than I thought it would be. It’s been the best experience of my life but the hardest work ever.”
Matthew received a perfect score for his routine to Singing in the Rain and was praised by the judges for his outstanding performances in the final, but he is still in shock that he won.
He said: “I was up against two really strong skaters. If it had been a competition about how far someone had progressed on the show, Chico would have won it hands down and Jorgie has just been beautiful form the start.”
The talented actor will be joining six of his fellow skaters to take part in the Dancing on Ice tour with his dance partner Nina Ulanova later this year.
