Ray Quinn lands first fabulous 40 on Dancing on Ice

Ray Quinn scooped the highest possible score on Dancing on Ice week four (January 26), for a sexy flamenco style dance that certainly got the judges hot under the collar.

The singer and actor has proved himself a force to be reckoned with on the ice, not least in 2009 when he skated all the way to the championship title.

Now he’s back in 2014 and it seems this boy can only get better in better, something which was apparent for all to see in his latest performance.

Ice dancing alongside partner Maria Filippov, the pair performed a sizzling routine to Malaguena, as they took to the rink last on the show.

And it truly was a case of saving the best for last, with the judges all marking them the maximum score of 10 points, giving them an unbeatable 40.

‘Caliente’ it was, with the judges ready to burst with praise when asked for feedback.

Jason Gardiner praised the red hot routine, saying: “That was sublime, perfection, every nuance, everything we needed to see in a flamenco performance you brought it.

“It was masculine, it was strong, it was sultry, it was sexy. It’s got me going!”

Robin Cousins added: “What I wanted to point out is you are the celebrity not the figure skater and yet you performed exactly the same as your partner. And what was glorious is every box was ticked but you presented your partner without once losing what you needed to deliver as a performer in your own right.”
