Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner has confessed that he feared that Denise Welch's husband Tim Healy was going to hit him during their confrontation on Sunday night's show.
Healy left his seat in the audience to confront the Aussie judge over remarks he made about Welch's performance on the ice.
Jason told The Sun that he believed that Healy was trying to "claim some more fame".
Gardiner said: "The man put his face right in mine. It was very unpleasant.
"His breath was that strong I felt like I was being Maced. I didn't know whether he was going to be physical or abusive.
"Whatever he was doing, he was trying to intimidate me."
He added: "Had I been able to carry on my critique I would have been able to justify what image I was trying to communicate with Denise.
"But it turned into a shambolic circus with her husband trying to claim some more fame at my expense."
