Hayley Tamaddon has claimed that Dancing On Ice star Chloe Madeley had a "meltdown" during training last week.

The former Dancing On Ice winner admitted that she had to comfort a tearful Chloe backstage on Sunday.

Speaking on This Morning, Hayley said: "The tension really mounted this week and everyone felt it.

"Chloe had a real meltdown with her confidence. She was in tears with me yesterday.

"I was telling her that she was great at what she is doing."

The former Emmerdale star said Chloe was struggling with being constantly compared to the other celebrity skaters, who she feels are much better than her.

Tamaddon added: "She said that it makes it harder for her watching everyone else skate. But she is fantastic and I told her that."

Madeley was shown in the VT footage arguing with her professional dance partner Michael Zenezini.

However, Hayley played down the row by claiming the pair were "like brother and sister".

She said: "They are not the only two arguing. There was a lot of tension yesterday."
