Vanilla Ice fears the Dancing On Ice sequins

US musician Vanilla Ice has admitted that he does not fear much, but all the glitter and glamour of Dancing On Ice are another matter.

Despite having never skated in his life the rapper thinks that he has what it takes to win the competition.

Vanilla Ice is paired with Dancing On Ice newcomer 30-year-old Katie Stainsby.

Discussing how his training has been going, Vanilla Ice said: "Training is going fine, you know what, if someone is cracking the whip and making your do something that you don't want to do it's no fun.

"So it's good for me that my pro skater is great fun.

"Very witty, humorous and funny but still firm, she lets me have it when needed; she is a tough chick."

The rapper admitted that he has never skated in his life before but always wanted to run across the ice and slide on it.

Discussing whether it was easier or harder that he thought, Vanilla Ice said: "It's a lot harder than what I thought.

"I guess you get really good after years and years of experience and for me to get out there I now have a whole huge appreciation for people who do this sport professionally because there is a lot of skill involved and a lot of talent.

"From a person who has never been on the ice before it is so unbelievably hard.

"My pro skater is just so good and it really impresses me, I love watching her do the spins and the jumps and I am like you are so good."
