Dancing on Ice's most critical judge, Jason Gardiner, sparked fury on the fourth Live Show with his harsh critiques of actor Matt Lapinskas and Olympian Beth Tweddle.
As the rest of the panel praised Matt's technical ability and dance performance, Jason insisted that his routine to 5ive's Slam Dunk Da Funk was too safe.
But criticising the routine's choreography soon saw fellow judge Karen Barber turn on him.
"To criticise choreography is [to give it] to the wrong person," she said. "He is given choreography. You get what you're given and [Matt] performed it brilliantly.
When Jason then criticised Olympian Beth Tweddle, it was obvious he'd gone too far with his remarks. He said: "This was a great opportunity for you to show us your fun side and unfortunately it appears as though you don't have one."
Karen raged: "What we have to do here is see that that had more confidence than any other performance tonight. You have to acknowledge what she's doing with her feet." And as Jason interrupted her, she added: "It's my turn to speak, it's my turn to speak. How much time does he need to speak?"
Even host Phillip Schofield joined the argument, saying: "Do try to keep to your slot, Jason, if possible."
Meanwhile, fans expressed their outrage on Twitter.
One user, @ktlacey99, wrote: "Why is Jason gardiner so nasty?"
Another user, @Beels44, tweeted: "Jason's comment about Beth tonight was uncalled for and spiteful"
Meanwhile, @LittleMixNavy_x wrote: "I love the spats between Karen and Jason, they are so entertaining! Karen tells him straight and i just love it. Jason needs to be told".
