Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has said that her relationship with former Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas is "going strong."
The 32-year-old told Now magazine that the couple had been through some difficult times following the death of their son Archie Jay in February.
Their baby died shortly after being born 18 weeks premature and Corrie bosses said that Kym could "take as much time off" as she needed, but the actress returned to the support of her friends on Coronation Street after a two-week break.
Kym said: "We're stronger than ever. We've had some tough times, but we are a strong unit and things are going well."
Lomas confirmed reports that he is currently trying to develop an acting career in Hollywood but said that Kym has signed a contract to stay in Weatherfield until 2010 and she will not be relocating to the US.
He said: "I am going to LA, but when Kym has breaks in filming she'll be popping out to see me."
Kym recently told the Daily Record that she was grateful for the support the couple received from Corrie fans and the cast and crew of the soap.
She said: "I think going back to work is the right thing to do after any tragic time.
"You're always dreading that first day. But being back on the Street did help massively and I'm really grateful to everyone I work with for that."
