Peter has been struggling to cope with how well Nick gets on with Simon, but things take a turn for the worse tonight when he loses his temper and lashes out at his adversary, with disastrous consequences.
Things kick off when Leanne and Nick host a birthday party for Simon at the Bistro. Nick has pulled out all the stops and hired a children’s entertainer, leaving Peter feeling annoyed.
When Nick then gives Simon a surprise birthday gift, Peter is furious and the two men argue, with Peter struggling to control his temper.
As he punches Nick in the face, Simon breaks down in tears, and Leanne is so angry that she makes a shock decision. Has Peter ruined his chances of a relationship with his son?
Meanwhile, Steve is fed up of having Beth and Tracy living in his house and tells them he’s selling up and they have to leave.
The pair demand a month’s notice, so he offers them money to leave right away. Will they accept his offer?
Elsewhere on the cobbles, Faye’s bullying nightmare gets worse while Izzy and Gary have some news for Owen and Anna.
