Britain’s Got Talent star Jonathan Antoine an inspiration to fans

Jonathan and Charlotte may not have taken the top spot on Britain’s Got Talent 2012, but the runners-up certainly look like they have a bright future ahead of them, if their fans comments are anything to go by.

17-year-old Jonathan and 16-year-old Charlotte have been inundated with messages of support and praise on Twitter, with many dubbing Jonathan an inspiration.

One fan of the pop opera duo told Jonathan:  “Because of you I'm auditioning next year! Incredible voice by the way.”

Another said: “I'm quite a big girl and youve made me realise being big shouldnt stop u fulfilling ur dreams thank u a mention would be nice xx[sic]”

Jonathan is used to being called the 2012 Susan Boyle, but one fan went further, dubbing him the new Pavarotti! They wrote: “U R the new Pavarotti! U & Char have a bright future! I'm a big guy 2...and U are inspiration to many. Loyalty & humility.”

And another simply said: “Already spoke to @char_jaconelli , but well done to you too dude! Big big future ahead! Better be ready for the madness!! X”

Jonathan doesn’t fit into the mould of your normal, glossy pop star but, just like SuBo, he won’t let that get in the way of his musical dreams.

After his first BGT audition, he said: “I know I don’t look like a standard performer. I just went out there in my normal clothes, so I expected there would be a little bit of a reaction. I was hoping our performance would show them differently.”

Although he admitted some free clothes would be nice, the singer was adamant he will not cut his long curly hair.

He also said he would like to lose weight, but purely for health reasons. “It’s not important to me from an image point of view. I am the way I am and I always will be.”

Charlotte was also against having a makeover, saying: “I wouldn’t want to change my image. People should be able to accept you for what you are.”

It certainly looks like they have, with many tipping the talented teens for fantastic musical success.
