He’s got the diva attitude. He’s got the cash in the bank. He even loves a bit of bling. Surely the next stop for Britain’s Got Talent champ Pudsey is Hollywood?
Speaking after her Britain’s Got Talent win on Saturday night, 17-year old Ashleigh discussed what’s next for her and talented pooch Pudsey.
She said: “We’ll be back soon with a whole array of dazzling dance routines so watch this space! I’d love to make Pudsey the new Lassie. I also want to thank everyone who voted for us – I’m so grateful.”
Dog lover Simon Cowell also has his sights set on making Pudsey a star, but Ashleigh had a warning for the judge: “Ha! Simon sooo wants to steal Pudsey off me. Simon, if you’re reading this – Pudsey is mine! If Simon wants to dance with Pudsey, he’ll need to put the hours in. I’d be happy to teach him.” That we would love to see!
Ashleigh revealed she plans to splash some of her £500,000 prize cash on pampering Puds. “I will be using the prize money to buy Pudsey a new diamante encrusted collar. He loves his bling. I’ll also be treating him to lots of expensive steak!”
The talented teen and her darling doggy have had the time of their lives on Britain's Got Talent and she said: “It has been the most amazing experience of my life… I’ve made so many new friends. I’m close to all the contestants – I love Jonathan and Charlotte and Sam Kelly. We were all rooting for one another.”
If Pudsey does become the ‘next big thing’; Ashleigh will have to watch that the shaggy haired star doesn’t let success go to his head. He’s already showing signs of being quite the demanding dog.
Ashleigh said: “The photo of Pudsey taking a leak outside the studios was hilarious. Pudsey wasn’t too happy about it – he’s a bit of a diva. I don’t think he wanted his fans seeing him like that – he has a glamorous image to protect!
“He loves being papped and is best buds with the one and only Simon. I’ll have to keep him grounded and reign him in if he gets too showbizzy.”
