Britain’s Got Talent champ Ashleigh reveals secret behind Pudsey’s success

Ashleigh and Pudsey were crowned Britain’s Got Talent 2012 champions on Saturday night after the nation fell in love with the adorable dancing dog act.

Following the show, 17-year-old Ashleigh and her four-legged pedigree chum appeared on Britain’s Got More Talent, still in shock about the win.

Delighted Ashleigh told Stephen Mulhern: “I’m about a month away from it sinking in.”

Answering questions from pooch loving fans, Ashleigh revealed the secret behind the act’s success and Pudsey’s impeccable behaviour, and it’s sure to give dog owners food for thought.

She said: “All it is really is a lot of food, so you need quite a bit of money for food and he eats better food than I do! And also a lot of patience, you’ve got to keep persevering.”

It will be steak and caviar from now on for our Puds, as Ashleigh plans to spoil her darling dog with tasty treats with the £500,000 prize money.

2009 BGT winners Diversity performed on the show and Ashley Banjo had a few words of wisdom for the new champs.

“It’s going to be a rollercoaster ride so enjoy it, but now’s the time to start working harder than ever.”

Presenter Stephen said he would love to see an Ashleigh and Pudsey / Diversity mash-up and Ashley said he they should make it happen. How cool would that be?

For now, Ashleigh and Pudsey are getting used to life in the spotlight and relishing every opportunity that comes their way, with the talented teen describing her BGT experience as “phenomenal.”

We can’t wait to see them in action at the Royal Variety Performance later this year, and the Queen, as a dedicated doggy fan herself, is sure to be delighted that the barking mad act took the top spot.
